Message from Artistic Director, Dr. Steven Kronauer

The Artes Vocales 2024/25 season will take you on an extraordinary musical adventure.  We’re seeking passionate singers to be part of our upcoming season featuring three captivating concerts.
 
Our first performance, Shakespeare Sings in November 2024, will celebrate Shakespeare through a diverse repertoire, including opera, jazz composition by George Shearing, and masterpieces from Mendelssohn and Vaughn Williams.  In our second performance in March 2025, immerse yourself in the sultry Let’s Tango, collaborating with multi-Grammy-Award winning bandoneon virtuoso Hector del Curto and exploring the works of Martín Palmeri and Astro Piazzolla.  Our final performance in May 2025 will showcase the Faure Requiem and other choral gems, accompanied by the highly acclaimed organist, Scott Van Ornum, and the Artes Vocales Orchestra Ensemble.
 
Every rehearsal is a voice lesson, offering opportunities to refine your technique and deepen the understanding of how our voices function.  Our Mentorship Program offers guidance to those who wish it in reading skills and vocal expertise as aspiring singers, teachers, and just lovely people dedicated to helping in any way they can.

We welcome current and previous choir members to re-join in this exciting season.  We also welcome new members to sign up for an audition. Please press the button below to fill out the form.  Following that, we will invite you to a short audition online.

You may also join the regular rehearsals on Wednesdays in September, December, or March, and have an audition right after the rehearsal.

Auditions include simple scales and singing back notes to check your ear from learning notes.  We embrace singers of various levels as we are here to learn and educate about voice and the art of reading music.
