Networks and networking invariably involve connection. And whether we travel via car, train, plane, hot air balloon, or through time-traveling experiences of glorious, gorgeous choral music, we soon discover that we are indeed caught in an inescapable network of mutuality. Even trees ‘sing’ – sharing a ‘wood-wide web’ with ‘mother trees’ acting as central ‘hubs.’

“Music has the power to transcend boundaries and remind us of our shared humanity,” says Dr. Steven Kronauer, Artistic Director of Artes Vocales. “Our itinerary is an exhilarating medley of classical, jazz, and contemporary works.”

Artes Vocales Artistic Director, Dr. K, has specially selected range from Europe to Asia to South and North America. Tour guides include Johannes Brahms, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, jazz-folk song arranger/composer Bob Chilcott, and AH Rahman, whose work Jai Ho won an Academy Award for Slumdog Millionaire. (Yes, we’re performing it!)

Artes Vocales was established in 2018 by Dr. Steven Kronauer. He brings his expertise in vocal education and bel canto singing, his broad musical knowledge, and his generous spirit to grateful singers and audiences alike.

A Message From Dr. K

As Artistic Director of Artes Vocales, it excites me to be with our members and to create opportunities to connect to each other through the vastness of our experiences. In this ensemble, we explore vocal techniques that enable us to grow towards full self-expression. The interconnection of alignment and breath connects to a space of creativity, empowering us in the discovery of our own voices, each as unique as a fingerprint.

As a voice teacher, I aim to facilitate full self-expression through every unique voice by offering guidance in vocal technique, health, and strength. We offer an inclusive space for singers to develop their vocal range through connection to breath and the beauty of language in singing. So please join us and sing your heart out!
